Internal Storage Clearing

Command Station Internal Storage Clearing Functions

NOTE:

In order for these operations to take effect, it may be necessary to
remove command

station power or briefly place the command station
into "OpSw" mode via its

front-panel switch.

Note also that JMRI's LocoNet Slot Monitor does not recognize the
Command Station OpSw

operations which can clear the slots. It is best to shut down
JMRI and re-start after

clearing the Command Station slot table via
OpSw 36 or OpSw39 mechanisms.

Reserved OpSws
These OpSw ought not be changed from factory default settings.
The OpSw settings below cannot be changed by this tool.

OpSws

The "CV" column in the table above shows "OpSw"
numbers, where the value "csOpSw."
is pre-pended to
the OpSw Number.

OpSw value 0 = "T"hrown. OpSw value 1 = "C"losed.

Notes

Notes on DB150 OpSw Settings

The Command Station should be in "Run" mode when
programming Command Station OpSw settings using this Roster entry.

(There is some evidence that this tool can modify OpSw settings
when the Command Station is set for "OpSw" mode, but be

careful if using this mode.)

The documentation for DB150 OpSw settings
are not very consitent for some OpSws. Some document versions

show certain OpSw settings, while others do not. It is unclear
whether this reflects actual differences in command station OpSw

implementation and/or device operation.

As an example, the values for OpSws 21, 22 and 23
are inconsistent in various

DB150 manuals. Once you have found settings for OpSw21-23 which
work for you, do not

change them.

When manipulating OpSws 36, 38, and/or 39, for the
purpose of clearing internal storage of slots, routes, etc., it
may be
necessary to power-cycle the command station or to place
the command station in "Sleep" mode momentarily before returning

to "Run" mode, after writing the the OpSw to the "C"losed state.
The command station may fail to act upon the request if one of
these
operations is not done.

Note that JMRI's LocoNet Slot Monitor does not recognize the
Command Station OpSw operations which can clear the slots.

It is best to shut down JMRI and re-start after clearing the Command
Station slot table using OpSw mechanisms.
